If you could be fluent in any language (that you don't currently read or speak), which one would it be?
German. I love how it sounds.
What's your favorite memory from the summer of '09?
Summer '09 came and went and I did not do anything! I did not take PTO, I did not even go to the beach!
You must think I'm really boring now.
But I am not. I promise.
Awww, I love kittehs!

Too bad it's not until 2010. I want to see it NAO!
Hmmm.. is there more than one "official" trailer? The one I saw earlier didn't start with the scene that this one did. Oh well, I don't care. But I do want to see the movie NAO!
What life dream or goal have you given up on?

This is a cross-post from my Wordpress blog.
I have been test driving the Options needles for a couple of days now by casting on for a cowl.
I used this cotton yarn:

Now it looks like this:

I still have a couple of rows to go but I can tell you that this is the fastest knit I’ve ever done. Seriously. I don’t know if it’s because of the needles or because of the pattern. I’m a really slow knitter and get bored easily. But this pattern varies enough that I am unable to memorize it and the Options needles are a real joy to work with. My work slides off it faster than they do on my Denise interchangeable knitting needles. The yarn doesn’t snag on the joins as well so that makes me really happy! With the Denise, I almost always have to keep pushing and pulling on my work to get them off the needle. My tension is inconsistent so depending on what I’m working on, I have difficulty keeping my work from sliding off. I can’t believe I didn’t buy Options before! Maybe I’ll sell my Denise and buy more Options needle tips.
May you be more patient than ever.
Who do you tell your secrets to?
My blog. :-D And that is why I keep some posts neighborhood-only.
LOL. Sometimes I wonder where I pick up the words I use and where I pick up how I string 'em words? <shakes head>
My Options interchangeable needles have finally arrived! I got my yarnz, too.
I'm test driving the Options needle by casting on for a cowl. Yep, a cowl. It's a secret who I am making it for. Anyway, for the life of me, I can't figure out why my needles sometimes loosen from the cord. Guess I must tighten more when I join the cable to the needle.
You know, surprisingly the Options needles are lightweight. I thought that they would be heavy (I got the aluminum version). But now that I'm using it, I find that they're not heavy at all and are actually easy on the hands. What's great, too, is that my work slides a lot faster off the needle and I don't have to keep tugging or pushing, which is what happens when I work with Denise needles. Yes, I also have a Denise set.
